4. Warranty Policy
Warranty Period:
Depends on the selected package, please check the information on the website and in the email sent when ordering (Usually warrants first login and Student status).
Policy:
- Exchange for a new account if login info is incorrect or Student status is missing upon receipt OR
- Refund if Empire Tech cannot provide a replacement account.
Disclaimers:
Customer uses VPS/Cloud for coin mining, DDoS attacks causing the provider to lock the account.
Customer voluntarily changes student verification information in settings.
Customer loses password and recovery email (Empire Tech hands over full info, customer manages it).
Account is Flagged by GitHub due to logging in on a dirty IP or previously banned device.
5. FAQ
- Can I use this account to activate JetBrains for my old account? Yes. Go to the JetBrains site, select "Link with GitHub", and log in with the account provided by Empire Tech to activate the License.
- Is GitHub Copilot usable immediately? Yes, Copilot is pre-activated; you just need to install the Extension in VS Code and log in to use it.
- How long does this account last? Student status usually lasts 1-2 years. After that, the account reverts to standard (you keep codes and repos, just lose Pro benefits).
- Can I change the Email of this account? Yes, but Empire Tech advises keeping the original Email (Edu Email) to ensure the most stable student status. You can add a secondary Email.
- How long is the $100 Azure Credit valid? Usually, Azure allows usage for 12 months, no Visa card required (depending on Microsoft policy at the time).
- Does DigitalOcean require a deposit to activate the $200? In most cases, DigitalOcean requires adding a Visa/Mastercard or depositing $5 to verify identity before unlocking the $200 credit.
- Can I merge this account with my main account? Not recommended. Merging accounts is easily detected by GitHub as fraud and leads to banning both.
- Does Empire Tech provide warranty if the VPS dies? We warrant the GitHub account login. Whether the VPS (Azure/DigitalOcean) survives depends on your usage (Clean IP, no policy violations).
